One important question to ask a Dj before booking is what type of music he or she will play? A good party DJ will always be open to play song requests, they will be open to having a song list from the birthday person. There are a handful of Djs out there who will play tracks that they have mixed themselves, or play just music that is very uncommon.  When Melbourne Dj Hire is hired for a party, we focus on playing songs that a majority of people know and like, songs that people would want to dance to. There is no point in our Melbourne DJ playing songs that he loves, when the people at the party don’t know the song. 
Another important question to ask your DJ is, what equipment he will bring. Lights really make a great party and the flashing colours and beams creates a great effect on the dancefloor. It is also important to ask if he will bring a microphone as you would like a microphone when you do your speeches. 
One last thing is to keep in touch with your Melbourne DJ and to check in with them a week or two before the booking to confirm the date and the times and to also go through the run sheet and the times. You can also ask him or her what time they would be arriving to set up. That way you can fine tune the details with the DJ and the venue and make sure everything runs smoothly.
