Food Trucks

Melbourne Dj Hire has recently seen the popularity of food trucks soar in the last few years. We have obviously seen a lot of food trucks pop up in the big outdoor community events and festivals but our Melbourne Djs have also seen a lot of food trucks at private house parties and even at event venues. 

Hiring a food truck for a house party is quite simple, the truck parks their vehicle in the driveway and can easily connect to power to start preparing the meals. The benefits to hiring a food truck is that the organisers can relax and focus on catching up with the guests instead of preparing meals in the kitchen. Another benefit to hiring a food truck as opposed to hiring a normal caterer is that the food truck is self containing. All the food is prepared and cooked and then served within the food truck so you don’t have the caterers walking around in the kitchen and potentially taking up space in the kitchen or making a mess. 

Food trucks are great for any parties such as kids parties, or even adult parties. There are fish and chip trucks, burger trucks and also taco trucks. Melbourne Dj Hire have worked at food truck catered events where there have been wait staff roaming the venue to serve the food as canapés to guests, but we have also worked at events where the guests go outside to the truck to order and pick up their food. 

The other benefit of hiring a food truck at your event is that the caterer can also provide the dessert component for the night as well. Our Melbourne Djs have seen churros being served out of a taco food truck and buckets of magnum ice creams coming out of the burger and fish and chip trucks. Some clients even hire a seperate dessert food truck to come towards the end of the event to serve desserts. You can get gourmet donuts, handmade gelato, crepes and so much more. Guests love the option of being able to try and choose all the different flavours.
