There’s something truly special about milestone birthdays and when you combine two into one big surprise celebration, you get an unforgettable night like Sam and Michael’s joint birthday party. Held at the iconic Moon Dog World in Preston, the event was a surprise for both father and son, who had returned to Melbourne just in time to celebrate with their amazing family.

The party took place in the brewery room, with views of the massive beer tanks adding a unique industrial charm to the backdrop. Our DJ Michael was booked to create a tailor-made playlist, beginning with classic Italian favourites to honour the family’s heritage. Then we moved into some Elvis hits a real family tradition that brought big smiles and even bigger dance moves before diving into a set of 80s crowd-pleasers that kept the energy high all night.

What made the night truly special was the personal touch behind the music. We encouraged the family beforehand to create a custom playlist that reflected their history, culture, and favourite artists. It’s this level of detail that helps transform a good party into a great one.
