Bank On Collins
Melbourne DJ Hire worked at the Bank of Collins over the weekend. This one of a kind venue used to be a Bank. The architects even kept the old teller booths as part of the interior layout. The Bank of Collins has a real historical look with the marble floors and the marble pillars, the venue has also decorated the walls with historical artwork and old Melbourne architecture photos.
This event was a corporate function which has been postponed 2 years in a row. Our clients hold this event every year so that their members can have a get together once a year to celebrate, the night starts off with some drinks and canapes, then the organisers will make a speech and also hand out some awards, then the meals are served and the dancing and partying will begin.
Our Melbourne Dj, open photobooth and photographer was booked for this event. Our photobooth was set up in a little corner of the room near the dining space and the Dj was set up on the other side of the venue. This layout worked really well as the guests were still able to use the photobooth during their entree and mains. Guests who weren’t dancing also got to use the photobooth.
We have also been booked for a wedding at the Bank of Collins, the middle section was used for the aisle and the dining section for the perfect space to hold an 80-100 person sit down dinner. There was enough space for the photobooth to get tucked away and the Melbourne DJ also had a raised level to play. The large bar was set up on the other side of the dining space and had plenty of room for guests to order their drinks.
The Bank of Collins is very easy to get to via public transport with the trams running in every direction and it is relatively close to Southern Cross station. Parking is a little hard to find, but if you book ahead of time you won’t have a problem.
