Professional Dance – Dj Melbourne

Melbourne Dj Hire were recently hired to provide the music entertainment for a professional dance competition. The style of dancing was Latin, there was salsa, rumba, zouk and the samba that was on display on the day. Our Melbourne Dj was responsible for playing the participants music track as well as provide the professional speakers and subwoofers to give the whole competition a powerful sound. 

During the break in between all the professional dance competitions our Melbourne Dj played some Latin sounding dance tracks so that guests and non competitors could get on the dance floor and enjoy a dance to some nice music. 

It was a very different type of event that our Melbourne djs are used to working at, we were kept on our toes and had to focus on correctly cueing up the correct track for each contestant and also making sure that it was played at the right time so the contestants could start their routine at the right time. It was a great night being able to watch these talented dancers performing their craft at such a spectacular event. Some of these dancers who only practice professional dance as a hobby are incredibly talented and you wouldn’t even think that they don’t dance professionally as their career. 
After the professional dance competition was finished and the winners of the night were announced. It was time for the contestants to relax and have a few drinks with their loved ones and also get on the dance floor for some casual dancing. You could say that it was a bit like an after party. 

It was a fantastic idea to hold the post competition celebrations at the same venue because everyone is already there. The room is also set up, guests do not need to find a way to the venue and it just makes perfect sense. So if you are planning an event that also needs an after party venue, maybe consider having the after party at the same venue. In situations like this professional dance competition it was a great idea and worked perfectly.
