Working at McDonald’s Grand Opening!
This company sure knows how to throw a party. They have hired our photobooth for their Langwarrin’s store grand opening. As soon as we arrived there was a big tent outside set up with a giant Mcdonald’s logo. They had a candy bar set up, they booked up for a photobooth, they had organised a quirky balloon artist and a facepainter. Too bad McDonald’s isn’t the environment for hiring a Melbourne DJ, the restaurants aren’t a space where you can really dance.
When were reworking there we noticed all the different activities available and that they were not that expensive to organise and they kept the kids and parents entertained and staying at the restaurant. The kids had a colouring station, which is so cheap to organise, all you need to do is buy a colouring book and rip out the pages, get some mini colour crayon packs and you are good to go. You can even download one from the internet to suit your theme and print them off.
The facepainter can also be DIY. I have seen packs of facepaint at $2 shops and Kmart for only a few dollars. They are so much fun and the kids love it. Instead of hiring a facepainter artist. You could either recruit a family member or friend who is good at drawing to paint the faces, if you can’t find anyone craft stores have stencils that can use, or even stamps.
Now with balloons… You can’t really make balloons animals yourself. We met a local Melbourne balloon artist Tommy Terrific at McDonald’s and he is the best balloon artist we have come across. He even made a balloon camera for us. He can make skateboards, Spider-man, princess flowers wands, and rabbit masks.
If you wanted balloons at your party but on a budget, we have seen clients use double sided tape and stick them on the ceiling, our Melbourne DJs and photobooths set up an hour before the party so we see a lot of homemade decorating ideas and super smart budget tips! Instead of ordering helium balloons you could buy a pack of 50, blow them up and stick them on the ceiling. You can tie them together and stick them on the door, on the table, on the walls.
This job was so much fun and all the local kids were lovely and had so much fun in the photobooth! McDonald’s sure know how to throw a party!
