Behind the Scenes – DJ Hire Melbourne

When Melbourne Dj Hire is booked for an event you will see a well presented Melbourne Dj show up to the function, he will gave his gear in the car and load the equipment into the venue, set up, play the music, pack up and leave. This blog post is about all the behind the scenes things us Melbourne DJs do.

First thing is we are always downloading music. Whether it is new music or a specific song we have never heard of. If Melbourne Dj hire are playing at your event we will make sure we hunt down every song you want us to play.

Second thing is we get ready hours before your event even starts. For example our Melbourne DJs have to get dressed, we have to load equipment into our cars then drive to the event. A lot of our DJs also gave jobs during the day so sometimes we need to organise our time to make sure we have plenty of time to set up our gear.

Third thing is during summer, we use our cars as a change room. One of the downfalls to this job is heavy lifting and it is even worse if we have to do a lot of heavy lifting during summer. Some venues are a trek from the car park so a lot of the times we are carrying equipment from a long way away. Therefore a change of clothes is also in the car so we look fresh for your event.

Forth thing is we usually do a fast food run after your event. Some clients are great and provide crew meals for our Melbourne DJs but some of the time our DJs are too busy to eat it, or it may have been long night and we are exhausted from loading in and out.
