Entertaining during lockdown

Like a lot of families out there, Melbourne DJ Hire are now facing the dilemma of entertaining kids during lock down. A lot of our Melbourne Djs are now finding ways to keep their children busy during this time in isolation. One of our Melbourne DJs had the idea to have a set up our speakers and party lights inside our houses to throw a dance party for our young children to dance to. It was a great idea that was shared with the whole team and we found that it was a fantastic way of entertaining kids during lock down. The kids got to experience something they usually don’t see as our equipment is always in the garage or storage ready for the next gig. 
You can play your kids favourite song on the radio, baby shark or the Frozen sound track. Kids can get creative and chronograph their own dance routines, or just get some free styling dance moves going to burn some energy. If you don’t have speakers at home, then you can turn on a CD player or even play music off your laptop or phone. If you don’t have a professional lighting system like our Melbourne DJs, then you can use glow sticks, fairy lights or even torches to create a light show when the lights are turned off. 
It is quite a sad time for kids who have their birthday under isolation. But you take this opportunity to start an art project with your kids. There are so many party decorations that can be made. Birthday buntings and garlands, they can make backdrops and have a birthday photo shoot or bake a cake and decorate it. After all the decorations and cake is made, you can take lots of photos and share with your friends an family. They might not be spending the day with their friends, but they will have a great day making crafts and decorating the house. 
This lock down is the perfect opportunity to have fun with your kids and get creative. Just because we can’t party with our friends, you can still throw a dance party at home. Your kids will love it.
