Functions At Sealife
Melbourne DJ Hire and our team of photographers, photobooth and Melbourne DJ was lucky enough to work at the Melbourne Aquarium over the weekend for a Melbourne University Ball. The Aquarium is called SEALIFE and they also hire out their space for private functions as well. Over the years, Melbourne DJ Hire have worked at corporate events, weddings and formals at SEALIFE and it is truly a magical and special venue.
Functions at SEALIFE give your guests the opportunity to explore the entire aquarium. The majority of the event happens in a particular room, but your guests are also able to roam all the different tanks and wonder through the venue. Our Melbourne photographer was booked to capture moments of the guests arriving, lots of group shots of the guests and our team even got to head down to the tanks to capture photos of the guests in front of the majestic sharks and other marine life.
After the event had been running for a couple of hours, the staff at SEALIFE closed off entry to the other exhibits so that guests could stay in the designated function space. After everyone was in that zone, that’s when the dancefloor really kicked off. Our Melbourne DJ played a mix of commercial pop and RnB and even played some Latin and K-Pop as this University had a large mix of students and cultures.
Functions at SEALIFE are run by Showtime events who are a leader of events planning in Melbourne. Showtimes events run the catering and set up an impressive yum cha buffet decorated with Chinese lanterns and props and also some Asian ingredients and condiments to dress the table. On the other side of the room was an Italian food station where there was a chef who served pasta and other Italian dishes.
SEALIFE is a great space to hold a function if you would like a create a memorable night for your guests. The Aquarium is also conveniently located next to Crown Casino and Flinders St Station, it is easily accessible for guests and also very close to accommodation and the Melbourne city nightlife if your guests would like to continue the night after the function has finished.
