There is a venue which we work at very regularly which is just the perfect place to hold your Masquerade party and that is Masque Bar in South Melbourne.

The venue is located upstairs on Park st and from the outside you would think that it is a very small cozy place but on the contrary it is a spacious venue that can cater to 150 people and filled with luxurious velvet covered seating booths and seating areas. The dark moody venue is decorated with detailed masks and damask patterned wallpaper and fabric curtains. There is a beautiful mirror splashback bar which is dimly lit to shine on the premium bottles and dramatic medieval mask which is the center piece.

Masque Bar is a Melbourne Djs dream venue to work at because there are speaker systems and lights which are already built into the venue. There is also an enclosed balcony area where guests can duck out and have a quick smoke or get some fresh air without having to go back downstairs and away from the party.

Just over the weekend Melbourne Dj hire sent one of our photographers to take photos at a 50th Masquerade party. All the guests were dressed up in their fancy outfits and topped off their look with a fancy mask. A masquerade party is actually quite a simple theme with a dramatic effect. People can wear what they already have in their wardrobe and decorate their outfit and dress to the masquerade party theme by buying a simple mask.
