Recently we worked at a joint batmi at a venue on chapel st called Functions on Chapel. The exterior looks like a church or hall. The venue has a great big space to hold a party and a large kitchen and bar, all of those at the central of Prahran’s busiest street.

The batmi was for two girls who happened to be cousins who shared a birthday around the same time. Lots of family and friends were invited quickly filling the large room up. Half the room was set up with large tables for the older guests to sit down, eat and chat comfortably and there were a few tall bar tables set up so that some parents and friends could stand and chat. Then there was a huge dance floor for the kids to run around and dance. There was also a henna artist who was hired to set up in one of the front foyer rooms which was a great idea to entertain the girls.

Our Melbourne Djs for hire, was asked to play some traditional Jewish music for the entrance celebration dance where guests dance in the circle and then lifting the birthday girls up on a chair. After that was finished more Jewish dance music was played where the older guests could join in and towards the end of the night the new pop dance music was played for the kids and teenagers.

Melbourne Djs for hire really enjoyed the lively atmosphere at the bat mitzvah it is always a fun night when guests old and young join in on the dancefloor.
