Supporting Businesses During Covid
As we are all aware, the continuous lockdowns during covid has had a damaging impact on the entertainment industry, as well as the hospitality industry and the tourism industry. All of the bookings that Melbourne DJ Hire has are completely wiped and are unable to go ahead when a lockdown is announced. 
Musicians, actors and performers are also out of work when a lockdown is announced. Comedy clubs, jazz bars, musical theatre shows are all cancelled during covid and these talented performers will either have to apply for government payment or they will have to look for another job. There really isn’t a way of supporting these businesses during covid as they are unable to open, however we have seen a few of these bars and club offer a dinner take away pack or a cocktail kit which you could purchase and enjoy at home. 
One large wedding venue where our Melbourne DJs work at recently are selling gourmet 3 course meals. An entree, main and dessert for a special occasion. Of course, it wouldn’t be as nice as attending the stunning venue, but businesses in the hospitality industry are finding creative ways of keeping a float during these difficult times. 
The tourism industry is another business which has really suffered because of these lockdowns, some businesses in the industry are still selling admissions and tickets for entry when the state opens up. One way of supporting these businesses now is by purchasing these tickets now and plan to make a trip to regional Victoria. Even if you make a trip into the city, there are a lot of businesses in the CBD who have been impacted by the lockdowns as a lot of workers are now working from home and there are limited people out and about in the city. 
Our thoughts are with all the businesses who have been impacted during this pandemic and we hope that when vaccination rates are reached, we will be able to support these industries again
