Absinthia Bar

Melbourne Dj Hire have worked at some very impressive venues over the years, but our Melbourne DJs have recently worked at Absinthia Bar for a few of their private functions and it is definitely one of the prettiest venues we have worked at. This little charming bar is located on Rose St just a stone throw off the bustling street of Brunswick St. There is a private side door that takes you into the venue, making it feel very secretive and exclusive. 

When you walk into the venue the first thing you see are the beautiful tulips that are hanging off the ceiling, some of the buds light up giving the space a whimsical feel. The back 2 walls are beautifully painted with murals that also make a great backdrop for photos and also perfectly fitting in with the graffiti street art theme of Melbourne and Fitzroy. 

There is also a very impressive bar on display. Bottles of rare alcohol is displayed along the bar and lit up as another amazing feature to this beautiful venue. Not only is Absinthia Bar a function center, it is also an absinthe bar. During the normal trading days there are tables set up with absinthe fountain sets where customers can come in and enjoy a drop at their table. There is also a green lit up outdoor courtyard decorated with vertical hanging plants where guests can enjoy a drink, fresh air and a smoke. 

Every corner you turn at this venue you see something amazing. Melbourne Dj Hire’s roaming photographer worked at Absinthia Bar for a 30th birthday and the photos just turned out incredible. The clients were 2 sisters who loved taking photos so it was just the most perfect venue to hold a party. If you are looking for a small function venue with a big wow factor and great photo opportunity you can’t go past this hidden gem.
