Melbourne’s Road Map
We were all tuned into the premier’s announcement regarding Melbourne’s roadmap out of lockdown. Bride and grooms and party organisers have been in limbo the past few months and were unsure whether or not their weddings and parties will go ahead or not. With an actual roadmap in place, businesses and event organisers can actually plan ahead.
Melbourne DJ Hire have contacted all our staff and have encouraged all our Melbourne DJs, photobooth attendants and photographers to get vaccinated. It is important that we ensure our clients that we take health and safety very seriously and our company is committed to working in a covid safe environment. Our staff have also been briefed on our covid safe plan and are knowledgeable about a safe way to set up equipment to keep limited contact with guests.
The first type of event that is permitted from Melbourne’s roadmap are weddings of 50 vaccinated guests in an outdoor space. This is a great option for couples who have already committed to a date but it would be hard to achieve if the venue they have selected does not have the area to accommodate 50 guests outdoors. Venues in the out regions of Melbourne like the Yarra Valley or Mornington will have ample space to cater for an outdoor wedding, however venues in the inner suburbs of Melbourne will not be able to achieve this rule.
Extravagant venues like Quat Quatta, Leonda by the Yarra have invested in creating a beautifully designed interior. There is no possible way to hold a clients wedding outdoors unless they hold the wedding in the car park. Venues, such as pubs and other bars which have a beer garden or rooftop bar could possibly cater to a 50-person wedding.
Melbourne DJ Hire is expecting an incredibly busy November, as that is the date Melbourne will achieve its 80% double vaccinated rate. From that date, 150 people will be permitted at a wedding with seated service. So if you are planning on locking in a date for your event, it is best to book in a venue and your suppliers soon as dates will be snapped up quickly.
