The Mornington racecourses is a great venue for school formals and graduations as it has a very large area ideal for sit down dinners. 

There are also some gardens on the ground so students can wonder around and take some photos together. As the venue is called Mornington Racecourse, there is also a large track in the middle of the venue so the function room actually overlooks the greenery and race track. The track is also another great backdrop for the students to get some photos. 

As well as some nice greenery around the Mornington Racecourse, the function rooms also have 2 grand curtains in their function space. One curtain by the entry point and another curtain by the back of the venue. Not only do these curtains provide a soft look to the venue, these lush curtains are also a great backdrop for some formal photos with groups of friends and even family photos when it is a valedictory event. 

There are 3 areas where functions can be held. A smaller cocktail style room at the end of the venue and then there is a larger function space that can hold over 200 guests. The large function room is the space Melbourne DJ Hire usually work at and it has a very large dancefloor in the middle of the function space, perfect for throwing a formal with lots of space for the students to dance. 

So if you are planning a large scale event in the South Eastern suburbs of Melbourne then the Mornington Racecourse is a great space to consider. It is very spacious with ample parking, there can also be a stage set up for events that will require presentations.
