Party Hours – Dj Hire

Melbourne Dj hire have worked at over 400 parties this year and we know a thing or two have party hours. There are some parties that should only last for 3 hours and some parties can go for as long as 5-6 hours. On the weekend we sent one of our Melbourne Djs and a Melbourne photographer to a teenage birthday party. The mother had booked a very large function room, a room that was big enough to cater for 150 people. But only 45 guests were invited to the party. There was a lot of unused space making the room feel very empty and lacking of that party atmosphere.

In terms of party hours, the mother had booked our Melbourne Dj and Melbourne photographer for 5 hours. For a party of only 45 people it was quite a long time. For a party of that size and that age group 4 hours would be the maximum time that the party should go on for.

Melbourne Dj Hire have worked at parties that go for more than 5 hours. Those parties usually have a bigger guest list, it could be a birthday or engagement party. Guests get to mingle and catch up with friends they haven’t seen for a while, they get to have a chat with different groups. Then they will get to dance in the last couple of hours. 5 hours is definitely enough time for the host to go around and have a chat to everyone.

Melbourne Dj Hire have also worked at events for more than 6-7 hours. Some companies book us at bowling clubs or at wineries where there are a lot of activities going on. Guests can mingled play a game, have some food and drinks and then stay in the space to listen to some music and then dance. Some weddings we have worked at also set up a great outdoor area with tonnes of activities so that guests can have a great day out.
