Private Covid Parties

Melbourne party planners have had a rough month with lockdowns and tight covid restrictions. For 2 weeks Melbourne had to go through and hard lockdown where all events had to be cancelled yet again. Melbourne Dj Hire didn’t expect much work to come through these last couple of weeks, but a few of our clients still got to hold small scale celebrations at venues. 
These private covid parties got to go ahead by following a long list of covid safe restrictions. There was an engagement party being held at a restaurant with its own private function room. There were social distancing regulations in place so it was quite spacious for the number of guests invited. The covid safe rules at the moment involve seated table service, so a stand-up style cocktail function is not possible. 
For this seated engagement party, our Melbourne Dj was hired to play some background music during the night and then they got to play some dance tracks to a safe number of people on the dance floor. Every time the dancefloor had too many people then the security guards would have politely stop more people from coming onto the dancefloor. Once guests understood these new rules the rest of the night ran quite smoothly, guests would stay around their tables to dance or just wait til the dancefloor was slightly cleared before entering. 
Another private party that was covid safe was a seated 70th birthday dinner. Our clients didn’t hire a Melbourne Dj but they did hire an open photobooth. It was a low key style celebration with only 40 guests invited. The guests had a nice meal together and got to take some photos with their loved ones. 
So during this time of lockdown and restrictions, there are still ways you can throw private covid parties and be able to celebrate with your friends and family and stay safe.
