Songs For Tween Events
Melbourne Dj Hire have been booked for a number of tween events lately. We obviously would have grade 6 graduations and school discos, but recently we have seen an increased number of parents organising 13th birthday parties for their children. A large 13th birthday is becoming more and popular as it is the first year of teenagehood.
The talented team and Melbourne DJ hire are prepared with the latest pop tracks from Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and more, but there are so many vintage tracks that the tweens dance to as well. Remixes of ABBA, Britney Spears, Shakira, Boney M and many more are also popular with the tweens. Our Melbourne DJs receive many requests from all different types of events and demographics so we do notice the trending songs that get requested per party.
We have also noticed that most of these tweens, watch and take part in an online dancing gamed called Just Dance. It is a dance tutorial on youtube and there are easy to follow dance steps for the players to learn. All off these dance moves are choreographed to the latest pop music like Waka Waka by Shakira, Timber by Keysha, Firework by Katy Perry and so much more. Because the tweens watch these clips regularly, they know the choreography by heart and when our Melbourne Djs drop these tracks, they get really excited start performing the steps on the dancefloor.
Melbourne DJ Hire do encourage our clients to create a songlist too and we will play the songs and also take requests from guests as well. We find that if it is a girls 13th birthday, a lot of Taylor Swift would get played, even the sing along tunes like Cruel Summer, Shimmer and All Too Well gets an exciting welcome. Then if it is a mixed crowd with boys then we will play a mix of high energy tracks to have everyone jumping up and down and releasing some energy.
