Beauty and the booth

Over the weekend, Melbourne Dj Hire’s partnering photobooth company Beauty and the Booth were invited to provide an enclosed photobooth for a 16th birthday upstairs at the Mordy Supper Club. It is a small bar on the Mordialloc shopping strip, and upstairs there is a small function room, which holds about 40 people.

Our clients booked a photobooth to entertain their family and friends. The birthday girls friends all took turns in the photobooth and even the birthday girls grandparents too photos with all their family and grandchildren. It was the perfect venue to hire if you want to hold a small party for your family and a few friends. Because it was small 16th birthday the birthday girls little siblings and little cousins also came to the party so instead of them running around when the adults were in the main area chatting and drinking, at the bar there was a little nook where a table was set up and the kids had pizza’s and were entertain with their ipads and colouring in on the table.

The function room is dark with dim lighting making it very cosy, it is decorated with hanging ropes, leaves and vines on the ceiling and industrial wooden stools, benches and tables, a couple of comfortable couches for guests to lounge on. It even has a cute fireplace in the corner perfect for cold winter nights.

Even though it is a small venue space and there isnt really much room for a Melbourne Dj the Mordy Supper Club does have a sound system where you can plug in your ipod or iphone and play the music from there. Our photobooth took up a bit of the floor space but if a photobooth wasnt set up then a Melbourne Dj could possibly fit in the room.
