Melbourne Dj Hire worked at a Bat Mitzvah over the weekend at the Newmarket Hotel in St Kilda, the clients had booked the Cellar Room which is a dark space located in the venues basement. The Cellar Room is a large space which would fit 100 people seated and 200 people standing, there are many different nooks and spaces to separate different sections of the venue. For example there is a raised area, where the clients had set up a candy bar and also a virtual wall. Then there are also seated booths that families and groups can sit down and enjoy their food or have a chat.
The Cellar Bar also a raised section where the Melbourne DJ could set up their equipment, the venue also has a large TV screen that the clients can watch photos and videos on. Our clients create a gallery of photos of the Batmi girl and the guests were watching the photos throughout the night, then when the dancing started the Melbourne DJ then connected his equipment to the TV screen to play a dance video tutorial and the kids danced along to the clip while listening to the music.
The Newmarket Hotel also has many function spaces available for hire. There is a courtyard you could hire for the smaller more low key gatherings, the restaurant space and also a private dining room for a quiet dinner with 70 people. The venue is also conveniently located next door to a car park so you wont have any trouble looking for close parking in the busy streets of St Kilda. It is also very close to the tram stop on Nepean Highway, so accessibility is no issue.
Because the venue is a classy restaurant, the catering is very special. The finger food served on the night wasn’t your average canapé menu of arancini balls and sausage rolls. The Newmarket Hotel served exciting food like cured tuna, Thai beef salad, rice paper rolls, popcorn chicken and so much more unique foods from different cultures.
