Oktoberfest – Dj Hire Melbourne

Melbourne Dj hires photobooth company Beauty and the Booth were once again booked buy La Trobe University to provide the photobooth services to another student event. The event was part of Oktoberfest and was held on campus at the University’s Eagle Bar. The students sold tickets to the event which include a free beer mug, a free drink, pretzel, sausage and entertainment and prizes.

 

A lot of the students dressed up. The girls wore traditional German dresses, the boys wore white shirts, cream coloured shorts, suspenders and a hat. A lot of students actually went to a lot of effort to get dressed up which added to the atmosphere of the the afternoon.

 

The organisers also went to a lot of effort to decorate the university bar in German decorations. A German flag garland was hang, blue and white checkered patterned garlands were hang on all the rails and a long the bar. German character posters we put up along the walls and even German patterned table clothes were set up on the tables where the students sat and watched the band.

 

It was an afternoon event, so instead of hiring a Melbourne Dj the organisers of Oktoberfest hired a professional German band. They played a lot of traditional German tunes at the start and then they started playing some games with the guests. Games where the band selected 5 people to come up on stage and then there was a competition on who was the best Schuhplattler. The band member thought them each how to dance then the crowd voted which dancer was best. Whoever was the best dancer got a free drink.

 

Melbourne dj hire have worked at Oktoberfest events before buy playing some traditional German tracks and then also MCing the event. But this German band was great. They all dressed up to the Oktoberfest theme and was really engaging with the guests and got them hyped up. La Trobe University always know how to pull off a great event and Oktoberfest was no exception.
