One wedding we sent a DJ to the guest arrived at the early to mingle and have some light refreshments and drinks, Melbourne DJ hire played some light background music and when the bride and groom came in we played their requested music during the entrance. After the ceremony was over the guest then moved on to the foyer where there was a buffet of food set up, other church weddings we had worked at had booked a catering company which works well because all church’s have a kitchen anyway.

Churches are great choice to hold wedding functions as you can have the ceremony there as well as the function, guests can stay at the same place for the whole time, you can even decorate the space earlier so you transform the space to something really special. One of the churches that Melbourne DJ hire worked at had a large foyer but there was also a nice garden and outdoor area guests could walk around and the couple had set up little drinks stations around the garden. It was a very warm day and the father of the bride later on walked out with buckets of ice cream. That’s the beauty of being able to organise your own catering, you can add extra touches of surprises if you like.
