Covid Passport
About a month ago the Prime Minister announced a plan to get out of lockdown and to open the economy. The model is based on the plan to have 70% of the adult population fully vaccinated. Events that we have all missed out on for the past few months will be back on again. Sporting stadiums will be filled with fans cheering on their team, restaurants and bars will be full of patrons sharing meals and drinks, function rooms would be full of friends and family dancing and celebrating occasions with their friends. Music venues will be filled with music and dancing of fans, musicians and entertainers will be able to perform again, and tourism, an industry that has been hit the hardest will get to open up to travellers again.
The only requirement is that attendees must have a Covid passport stating that the individual is fully vaccinated. We are yet to find out how this passport will actually be administered. Will this be a digital app that will show the venue your individual code prior to you entering the premises? Or will it be a physical card like a driver’s license?
Melbourne DJ Hire have a large team of Melbourne Djs, photographers and photobooth attendants who will be fully vaccinated. As we are working in the entertainment industry, our staff are in close contact with a lot of different people each weekend. In our Covid Safe Plan, it is mandatory that our staff wear masks while working at events. Our DJs are in close contact with guests when they come up to requests songs and if our photographers are in a loud environment, they occasionally will have to get relatively close to guests to communicate with them. Our photobooth is extremely covid safe and predominately contact free, guests enter the photobooth and our attendant will start the session, then the guests take 3 photos and wait at the back of the photobooth set up to collect their prints.
A Covid Passport is one thing everyone in the entertainment and tourism industry is desperately waiting for. A lot of entertainers we know have found work in other fields to keep ourselves busy, but we are looking forward to getting back to doing what we all love
