In our first blog post Melbourne dj explained the process of loading our dj equipment into the function room. This blog post will be about parking and packing up at the end of the night.
After loading all our dj Melbourne equipment to the function rooms our cars would still be parked in the loading dock. So we then have to head back down to the loading dock, move our cars and find parking. Some venues arrange a space for contractors, some organise valet parking for us but some do not have allocated parking for us so it could take us a while to find parking especially if it is a Friday or Saturday night.
After we have found parking we have to make our way back up to the function room to actually set up our gear so we are ready to start playing music or take photos in time for the function.
After the booking has finished we then have to pack up our gear, then head back to our cars and return to the loading dock. At some venues the loading dock is accessible via a buzzer and the door can be opened if the staff buzz us in. At some venues we have to call a security number and then wait for someone to come back to the loading dock to open the door to let us back in. Once we are in the venue again our Melbourne dj can head back to the function room and wheel our equipment back to our cars.
So this is an in depth explanation of the processes our Melbourne DJs have to go through in order to set up at these CBD locations. So understandably we need to arrive an extra one hour to one and a half hours on top of our normal procedures to make sure we are set up in time for the function.
