When Melbourne dj hire and beauty and the booth give a quote for a job at the casino or a hotel in the city area we usually quote higher than our normal pricing. The reason for this is because we need to allow an extra hour on top of our usual loading in process because of the venues security and procedures.
Some venues like crown and the larger hotels need our Melbourne DJs to complete an online contractor induction so we are familiar with their safety and security processes and procedures. Once we have done that prior to the event day we then have to arrive early to sign in with the security and admin team. Sometimes the security team is at the loading where we load in equipment. Other times it is at the reception, which in that case we have to then drive to the loading dock to unload out equipment.
After loading out our equipment we have to load everything onto a trolley and wheel it up to the venue. Sometimes if could be as simple as taking one lift and arriving to the room. Some times we have to squeeze into a tiny lift and wheel everything through a tiny cramped kitchen and maybe even take another set of lifts.
