Melbourne DJ Hire was hired over the weekend to provide a Melbourne Dj and roaming photographer for a University Ball at the Oxford Scholar. The venue spans over 3 levels and is conveniently located on Swanston Street right next to Melbourne Central and across the road from RMIT University. The Oxford Scholar has 3 different function rooms of varying spaces.
The ground level function room is the largest with ample seating in the form of booths, there is also a pool table and a lot of space for people to stand or dance an open style layout which is perfect for an event. The second and third level are smaller function rooms with the capacity suitable for smaller crowds of 70-80 people. The room are divided into three sections with a bar, dancefloor and another seating area. The rooms can also conveniently divide in between those sections in case clients would like a smaller space for a smaller group or an intimate private dining room.
The job that our Melbourne DJ and photographer worked at was a university ball for students at Victoria University. The students were excited to finally be able to throw a party and celebrate their year of studies and also a good way for students to celebrate their graduation. The guests were able to order unlimited drinks at the bar, there were also canapes roaming the room. Guests were also able to take photos by the photobooth and there was also a Victoria University Law backdrop decorated with fairy lights set up for guests to take photos at.
So if you are planning an event in the city, the Oxford Scholar is a great place to consider. It has a central location without being right in the centre of the hustle and bustle of the city. There are a lot of parking available at Melbourne Central and around La Trobe street, it is very close to the Melbourne Central train station and location right next to a tram stop.
