Our Melbourne DJs have recently worked at a lot of parties with an 80s theme. The clients decorate their party space with plenty of bright colours and posters of pop starts and movie stars of that era. There is double denim, there are groups that show up in ghostbusters costumes. A lot of guests came to the party dressed as their favourite pop stars. A lot of Madonnas, Michael Jacksons and Cindy Laupers. The music play lists was full of the big dance hits from that era and the party decorations, the costumes and the music just transport everyone to another time.

As the 70s fashion is coming into trend Melbourne dj hire have noticed that this party theme is also starting to become more and more popular. There are tie dyed costumes, funky patterned dresses and oversized earrings and knee high boots. Our Melbourne DJs have noticed that parties young and old love and embrace this theme, it might be because of the bright fun colours and wacky costumes. At a clients 70th birthday they made it a 70s party and the birthday lady had a great time with her friends and family reminiscing about the days back then and enjoying the music.
