Surprise Party -Dj Hire Melbourne

Beauty and the booth and Melbourne Dj hire are lucky enough to work at parties every week, we work at many birthday parties and our favourite parties we have worked at are surprise birthdays.

When Melbourne Dj hire are booked for a surprise wedding we are usually requested to set up very early, well before the party starts so we can make sure the space is organised before the birthday person shows up.

At a recent surprise birthday one of our Melbourne DJs played at was for a 50th birthday. The birthday girls lovely children threw a big soirée hiring an enclosed box photo booth from our photobooth company Beauty and the booth and of course a melbourne DJ. The birthday girls family got the the venue at 12pm to set up tables and decorations and plenty of fairy lights. At first people were just standing around wondering what was happening because they were waiting for such a long time for her to arrive. 2 hours late to the party. Then when we received word that she was on her way and everyone started heading to the back of the venue to get ready, they must have been waiting there for a good 15 minutes in the dark and silence!

When the birthday girl and her husband showed up everyone yelled surprise and our Melbourne Dj played her favourite song, ‘Girls just wanna have fun’ and everyone started dancing and the dance floor was filled! She danced while kissing and hugging everyone. She did a great job to keeping it together and dancing at the same!

The birthday girls children had organised a collage of photos on a wall so the guests could also have a look at photos. Work mates and old friends made speeches and the children performed a song for their mum.

The night was filled with old tracks from the 80s and 90s as well as new tracks like Uptown Funk and Single Ladies. Melbourne Dj Hire had a great night and can’t wait til the 60th!
