Great Gatsby has been a very popular theme over the last 4 years. It is glamorous, fun and quite easy to get an outfit together. A nice cocktail dress paired with gloves, a feather boa and a feathered headband is all you need. The boys just need a pair of suspenders and a hat and that’s an easy costume right there. Some guests even go the extra mile and buy a sparkly dress and a big fur jacket.

Another theme that has come up a few time is an 80s themed party. It is a great step back in time for people who grew up in the 80s where they can dress up as their favourite pop stars like Michael Jackson, Madonna, Cindy Lauper or even your favourite 80s movie character like crocodile Dundee or the Ghostbusters gang.

Hollywood or a red carpet theme is also a very popular one as everyone is dressed up and people who want to come in a fun costume can even come as movie characters. One Hollywood party our Melbourne Dj worked at most people were dressed for the red carpet and one gentleman came as a minion.

Costume parties are great fun and it really transforms the mood and breaks the ice for a lot of people.
