House parties are a great venue to hold your party. They are cheap because you don’t need to pay for a venue space, you can take care of your own catering and organise your own drinks. Our Djs in Melbourne have worked at a lot of successful house parties. However if you are organising a party for an 18th or 21st it can be a little scary letting all these young people drink and party in your house and being responsible for all of them.

At a recent 18th birthday house party our Djs in Melbourne worked at, there was a family member who stood at the front of the house with a guest list, who ever showed up was ticked off the guest list and if they are going to have some drinks then they would need to show their ID.

There was also a limit to how many drinks each person could have, there were party bracelets on everyone’s wrists and a limit to only 5 drinks per person so that it didn’t get too wide. There have been parties where our DJs in Melbourne have worked were the teenagers just help themselves to the drinks and then gotten very sick or very drunk and have gotten into some trouble at the house.

Then towards the last 3 hours of the night the family hired a security guard. The security guard sat outside to make sure there were no gate crashes to the party and also came into the party every now an again to make sure there wasn’t anyone too intoxicated or wild.
