First bday

A first birthday party is not a party where you would usually see a Melbourne DJ, but surprisingly we are regularly booked for these events. Sometimes, the guests end up dancing and at some parties the Melbourne DJ is there to provide some party music and bring the upbeat atmosphere to the day. 

First birthday parties are quite a trickly party to plan, it is usually a large-scale event where you would want to invite your closest family and friends. Some cultures take the first birthday party very seriously and even book out a reception venue for a lavish dinner, they will book a Melbourne Dj and might book other entertainers as well. Some cultures even have a special dance or ceremony to celebrate the baby’s first birthday. 

Melbourne DJ Hire worked at a first birthday party were the guests all danced around in a circle and the parents and grandparents of the birthday boy took turns holding him and dancing on the dancefloor. Guests all danced around the baby smiling and blessing him and our photographer captured great moments on the dancefloor. 

Another popular first birthday tradition is for the child to get baptised, the team at Melbourne DJ Hire have worked at a number of baptisms. Our roaming photographer will usually meet the family at the church to capture the ceremony and some family photos at the church, then our Melbourne Dj will be set up at the restaurant or function space for the party. It is usually a relaxing afternoon where the family and friends have sit and catch up with some nice food and drinks and have a dance with their children. One of our clients even booked a portable soft play area where the kids could run around and play.
