George’s Restaurant – Camberwell

Over the weekend Melbourne Dj Hire sent out our team to provide the entertainment at a large popular function room at George’s Camberwell. The clients booked a Melbourne Dj, an open photobooth and a roaming photographer to make things fun at their party. 

George’s Camberwell is a popular cafe on a busy shopping strip in Camberwell and upstairs there is a very large function space that they hire out for events. The room is very spacious and neat, there is a long bar running along one side of the venue and there front and back of the venue has some draped curtains to add a bit of softness to the venue. 

The cuisine served at George’s Camberwell has an Italian theme with different flavoured arancini balls, handmade pizzas and a variety of popular canapés like gourmet sausage rolls, sliders and fish and chips. The room can also cater to sit down dinners and events as the room can open up to be double size if the middle partition curtain is removed. This option allows for more formal type of events like a wedding or a corporate training day. 

This large space at George’s Camberwell also means that clients who have a large family can comfortably roam around the room. There are also a set of couches on the opposite end of the room so that the older guests have a place to sit away from the loud music. There is also ample space for the photobooth to set up so that a large group can fit into the open photobooth. There is also a lot of space so that photographers can capture family and group shots comfortable. The fact that the venue is nice and neat with soft pendant lighting also makes the photos stand out a lot. Our Melbourne Dj also had a lot of space to set up and there was also a lot of room on the dance floor so that the family could do their cultural dancing and also for the younger crowd to jump around to their favourite tracks.
