Working at Caulfield Racecourse

Last week was international nurses day and one of the big Melbourne based hospitals Melbourne Dj Hire looks after held their first annual nurses dinner at the Caulfield racecourse.

The venue is impressively large with over 20 entrance gates. There is a large function room which can cater for over one thousand people. There were 600 nurses and doctors attending the ball that night and there was more than enough room to move around and also hold a large dance floor in the middle. One side of the room was also empty and it was a perfect space to put our two photo booths and there was also a silent auction set up for guests to get up and walk around.

Melbourne Dj hire’s photographer was also there taking party snaps of all the guests. Large group shots were very popular amongst everyone as teams and departments were keen to pose to take a large group photo to hang up at their office.

Our Melbourne Dj ash started the night with some old classic tunes like Dancing Queen, Nutbush, Can’t Hurry Love and many more old school tracks to get the older nurses dancing. Then towards the end of the night the Melbourne Dj played some more popular tracks from Bruno Mars, Jennifer Lopez and Usher.

Some attendees also came to the function after their shift to have a few drinks with their colleagues. Because a nurses job is never ending and there needs to be staff at the hospital all the time some staff members had to miss out on the ball. But because the location of the dinner was central to both hospitals a few got to join the party after their shift.

It was a great night of celebrations and fun for a group of really hard working men and women and Melbourne Dj Hire were so happy to be apart of it and are looking forward to getting a full dance floor of nurses and doctors next year.
