Rubia Cafe
Melbourne Dj Hire sent our Melbourne DJ and our open photobooth to Rubia Cafe this weekend for an 18th birthday. We have worked at this stunning function centre before and are always so impressed with the decor of the space. This event was for a girls 18th birthday and the parents did not have to do any decorations at the venue as the space was already pretty enough.
The Rubia cafe is open during the day for breakfast and lunch but at night the space transforms into a stunning function venue. It is styled with an endless number of real plants; they have large indoor trees over hanging the dancefloor space and the walls of the cafe is line with different types of indoor plants. There are also some impressive colourful wall paintings hanging all over the venue. Another big selling factor is a floral installation they have at the back section of the function space which is a perfect backdrop to photos.
The function space has quite a nice layout as well, there is a wide hallway which is set up with tables and chairs which is the perfect space for the older guests to sit down and chat. Then the back sections opens up into a large space which is perfect for a big dancefloor. Our Melbourne DJ set up towards the back and still had plenty of space for the guests to dance. Our photobooth was also set up in the corner slightly away from the dancefloor but still close enough to the main party so all the guests could see the booth and use it consistently.
So if you are looking for a venue in the bayside or south east suburbs, the Rubia Cafe would be a great space to book. You wont need to worry about decorations because it’s already integrated into the function room.
