When you book a Melbourne Dj for a wedding or an event it may not seem like they have done a lot of work before the event. It might just seem like they have showed up, set up there equipment and started playing music.

The main thing that our Melbourne djs spend time on is downloading music. Melbourne Dj hire are downloading music every week. New hits that come out and new remixes that come out. We also sit down and listen to the remixes to make sure it is a good remix with lots of energy so people can dance to it. We have had clients give us a remix of a hit to play at their party and it just didn’t work because it wasn’t a high energy track and more like a chilled out house electro mix.

Second thing is that our Melbourne djs get ready for your event long before we show up at the function. We have to load all the equipment in the cars and then if you have your event at a venue with a complicated set up we get there long before the function time to make sure the equipment is loaded in and set up and we have time to move our vehicles and find parking.

During summer our Melbourne djs have to account for the hot weather and we usually set up and then get changed after loading in all the equipment as it is very labour intensive especially on a warm day.

Lastly our Melbourne djs are constantly going through your event runsheet. We make sure we understand what is happening on the night and we have the music ready to go. Especially at weddings were there are entrance songs, dance songs and farewell songs.
