Library Gig – Dj Hire

In a couple of weeks Melbourne Dj hire are going to be playing at a venue that generally needs to be very quiet! We have a library gig as part of a community youth week. Our Melbourne Dj will set up speakers and djs and play music to a local community crowd of youths, families and library patrons. The event was organised so that young people can gather around the library and listen to some music and also play their own music. The library is a newly renovated venue and has a nice large deck area that can double up as a stage and they also have built in benches for seating and big trees perfect for shading a sunny day.

Our Melbourne Dj will set up a standing mic at the library gig and the performers will also be able to plug in their instruments to our system and perform to a large audience. There are a number of young musicians some who are in bands, some who just sing and play as a hobby and some who just want to sing a song into the mic with a karaoke track behind it.

Melbourne Dj hire have worked at this library gig before and it draws in quite a big crowd. The council organises a popcorn stand, fairy floss stand, a sausage sizzle and other catering and also some drinks for all the attendees. It is a 100% free event so families and kids flock there as well as all the friends and families of the performers.

Generally it is very relaxed, out Melbourne Dj play some commercial pop music and the youths and kids and families have a dance on stage. Then when each performer comes on stage everyone sits back and enjoys the songs. Then when the Melbourne Dj is back to playing a set people go off and have a look at all the food stalls and have a chat with each other. One year our photobooth was organised and that was used by all the youths and kids when there was a break from the performances.
