Recently Melbourne dj hire were booked to dj at a birthday party at a house, our client also booked a roaming photographer from us. However our enclosed photobooth was already booked out so the client had to book another enclosed photobooth with another Melbourne photobooth company.
When our Melbourne party dj and Melbourne photographer had gotten to the party we saw the setup of the booth. The client had ordered a guest book but there was no table set up so the book was just lying on a box. Only the first page was stuck in because the mother of the birthday girl was there to stick them in. Then for the rest of the night the photos of the guests we just thrown on top of the guest book. Melbourne dj hire’s partnering Melbourne photobooth company Beauty and the Booth set up a table next to the booth and our attendants make sure that there is at least one photo of every guest in the guest book and encourages guests to write a message in the book.
There is also no attendant, the booth was dropped off and left for the guests to figure out how to use. Our photobooths are always sent out with attendants, to Mae sure every guests know how to operate it and also in case there is a technical issue or a paper change.
2 hours into the event, the photobooth had broken down and the photos wouldn’t take. Our client had tried calling the company she had booked and there was no answer. Over an hour went past and the owner of that photobooth company finally called her back. He tried to talk the client through on how to troubleshoot the problem but that was no use has their camera had broken down. Then another hour went past and attendant showed up with a new camera.
So for over 2 and a half hours their was no photobooth, the birthday girl and the family were very upset as the party was just about to finish by the time the company came to fix the issue.
So Melbourne dj hire’s advice when booking a Melbourne party photobooth company is to make sure there is an attendant onsite for issues that could arise, or if the company does leave the booth unattended make sure you ask them what happens when there is a paper jam or if there is a technical issue.
