Country and western theme – DJs Melbourne

Country Western Party in Kalkallo.

Melbourne DJ hire and Beauty and the Booth once again were booked for a joint job working at a 21st birthday in Kalkallo which is just past Craigieburn. It was a country Western themed surprise party for David who was turning 21. David’s parents had set up a large outdoor party tent along with a cork board dance floor, the edges of the tent were decorated with stacks of hay which doubled up as bench seating for the guests. On the other side of the makeshift barn there were tall cocktail tables and stools and a temporary bar. There was a large buffet of food where the caterers had served up BBQ food like lamb chops, burgers, sausages and prawns.

One of our Melbourne party DJs Ricardo was requested to play a lot of country music and a few popular tunes by Bruno Mars. The parents had invited a lot of their friends so the 70s and 80s music by the Bee Gees and Michael Jackson got the dancefloor pumping most of the night. The clients were advised to send a handful of songs to Melbourne DJ Hire and from that list we will play the appropriate songs to fit in with the genre and decade. With a diverse group, popular commercial tracks from each era work really well.

A couple of songs they really got into were ‘Eye of the Tiger’, ‘You’re the Voice’ by John Farnham and ‘Land Downunder’. Usually these songs are not crowd favourites to dance to but for this crowd, it seemed like no party was complete without those tracks.
