COVID-19

Due to the recent outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, the Australian Government has set in place a number of large group gathering restrictions which have impacted Melbourne DJ Hire and our photobooth company Beauty and the Booth drastically. Event planners have postponed all major events and our wedding couples have had to postpone their weddings as well. Large scale outdoor events were the first to contact us and postpone their events. Melbourne Dj hire were booked to provide a Melbourne DJ and a photobooth at a local community event, but after the Grand Prix decided to cancel their event, our clients followed in their footsteps to postpone their community event. 
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a flow on effect on most of Melbourne DJ Hire’s bookings. Bride and grooms have had to postpone their weddings that they have been planning for for so long, some bride and grooms have had to push on and go ahead with their events as they have had family travel to Australia from overseas. In cases where the couple have had guests travel from overseas, the guest list was cut down to a small number of people, and a small ceremony was organised, followed by a quiet dinner. Our Melbourne DJ was still required to play background music and also to make some small announcements, but dancing was kept to a minimum. 
Even though the Covid-19 has caused the cancellation and suspension of some of our events, the smaller scale events are still carrying on. The smaller birthdays of 50-70 people are still going ahead and after this tough time is over Melbourne DJ Hire are expecting a high peak in the number of events that will re book. 
It is a tough time for everyone, but we need to have a bit of patience and know that we will get through this together and in a few months time, everyone can get back to their normal lives.  Melbourne Dj are keeping ourselves busy by organising or song lists, downloading more songs, cleaning and maintaining our gear to make sure that when we all come out of this Covid-19 crisis we will be ready to party and celebrate with everyone.
