Covid Aftermath
While the rest of the country are opening up their economy and those lucky businesses are getting back to normal, it got us thinking about how events and functions will change after the Covid 19 pandemic. The Covid aftermath will see a lot of OH&S practices in place when it comes to the cleanliness of the venue, the serving of food and drinks and the use of communal items.
Melbourne Dj Hire and the way we practice won’t really be affected, our Melbourne DJs don’t really come into close contact with guests for a long time. But in the Covid aftermath our photobooth company Beauty and the Booth will have to change some of the practices we have been used to for many years. At each event, our photobooth comes with a range of fun props for guests to use while they are posing for their photos. These props have always communal and though we do wash and disinfect them every week they will be too risky to put out while the Covid 19 virus is still around.
Over the last few years Melbourne DJ Hire have also seen a surge of grazing tables at events. These intricate, tasty looking tables are filled with cured meats, dried fruits, crackers, dips, fruits and so much more. However, in the Covid aftermath we think that these amazing displays of tasty foods will cease to exist. Gone will be the days of food getting left out for the potential of people breathing or coughing on the food, gone will be the days of people walking up to food and helping themselves with their bare hands. Venues will also have to rethink the ways they serve canapes in the Covid aftermath, all pieces will have to be served on cutlery or with a toothpick because it would be too unhygienic for guests to touch the food with their hands.
There are a lot of things that will have to change when we finally get back to working at events. We all have a responsibility to make sure guests are protected and to help reduce the spread of this virus.
