There are times when a guest would come up to our party Dj and request a song and they would unknowingly hold their drink of our decks. Sometimes we would politely tell them to move their drinks and they would understand straight away and move their drink away for the equipment. If the guests are more intoxicated sometimes it is harder to get the message through. in that situation we would have to physically move the drink away or in some situations call the client or security to intervene. We tell our Djs to go to these drastic measures not only because their equipment is expensive to replace but the main reason is because if their is a spillage on the equipment this could lead to malfunction of the equipment which would then ruin the night for our client as their would be no more music for the rest of the night.

There was one wedding we had worked at where the kids where climbing on the tripods of the speakers which is very dangerous for the child as speakers are extremely heavy.
