DJ VS IPOD

DJ for Hire Melbourne, DJ Hire Melbourne, DJ Melbourne, DJs Melbourne, Melbourne DJ, Melbourne dj hire, Melbourne DJs, photo booth Melbourne

Let’s face it, it is quite expensive to throw a party. You have catering, drinks, balloons and decorations, photographers, photobooth, music, DJ, invites and maybe even more. DIY ipod djs are becoming an cheaper option. But we must warn you…the cheaper option could make or break your event.

When we are parties where the photo booth is hired and not the DJmelbourne, we witness the issues that arise and we are certain that if a DJ HIRE MELBOURNE was hired the crowd would have more fun and there would be so much more people on the dance floor.
Here are some issues that might arise (and usually do)

Drunk guests will raid your iPod and will most likely stop the music in the middle of songs, and when you have people on the floor enjoying the jam the worst thing to do is stop it mid way and play another tune. A recent party we delivered a photobooth to there were about 15 people on the dance floor dancing and enjoying the music and a hypo cousin ran to the pips and stopped the music for about 2 minutes while she was searching for her song. Who is going to wait for music for 2 minutes? So everyone left the dance floor and sat down on the couches.

You could have your favourite songs on shuffle. What could go wrong? You might like all these tracks but maybe not everybody loves old school Madonna. You not only need a variety of genres but you need to know when to play which song and gauge what the crowd is ready for. There was a 18th birthday we delivered a photobooth for and the birthday girl had a whole collection of Taylor Swift, Katy Perry and One Direction these were not just dance tracks but also some slower songs. The dance tracks that came on were ok but then it played some slower jams and people just left the dance floor. Not to mention the older guests didn’t do much dancing at all that night.

Djs have a huge song list from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, naughties, and top 40 commercial tracks. There is bound to be a list of songs for everyone. There are parties we go to that want Greek music or Indian music, in that case you can also let us know which songs to have and we can either get the tracks off you or we can download them to include in the set.

If you tell Melbourne DJ hire what genre and songs you like we will try to get everything you request so you have your party anthems and your guests will also have a wide range of music to dance to.
