Mornington Racecourse
Melbourne Dj Hire we’re coincidentally booked for 2 school valedictory dinners this weekend at the Mornington Racecourse. Both of these schools are in the local Mornington area and we regularly provide photobooths, Melbourne Djs and photographers to their school events.
The valedictory dinner that was held upstairs in the main dining room of Mornington Racecourse and it was a more formal style set up with a sit down dinner. Parents and family of students were also invited to join the event. At this formal sit down event, no Melbourne Dj was hired but the school did book our roaming photographer to capture photos of students with their parents. The night had a few speeches from the schools leaders, there was a school song that was sung with the students and past alumni who were now parents and overall it was a relaxing way to finish and celebrate the end of the students school year. The dining room upstairs also has a lovely lush curtain backdrop which is perfect space for students and families to take family photos. When the event is over our team will put these photos onto a gallery and the students can download their photos for their family.
The function room downstairs had a much different atmosphere. The room was set up casually like a pub or bar and a cocktail style of event. Our Melbourne Dj was set up at the back of the room with a large dancefloor, there was also a photobooth and a roaming photographer booked. The night was a bit more like a party with students and parents mingling and chatting away, some students went onto the dancefloor and some went in the photobooth. This was another great way to end the year and students and parents really had a blast at the end of year party.
So if you are throwing an end of year celebration for students, staff or family, there are a few different ways to organise it. A more relaxed vibe with a sit down dinner or you can go all out and throw one big party with lots of dancing and music.
