School Disco Songs

It is this time of the year again where Melbourne DJ Hire is hired for a number of school graduation disco events. Every school will have a graduation ceremony for their grade 6 students and some will plan a nice disco or party for their students. When it comes to the playlist for such a young crowd our Melbourne DJs usually go with very commercial and mainstream songs. Songs that you would hear on the radio, TV and even some movies. 

A lot of the popular and upbeat Disney songs are a bit hit. Taylor Swift and BTS songs is a must have on the playlist and a few years ago we would also play a number of songs from One Direction, Justin Beiber and High School Musical. Now that kids are so in tune to Youtube and TikTok we are now starting to introduce Baby Shark, I’m a Gummy Bear, Cupid and so much more. 

Our Melbourne DJs are also happy to take requests from the students as well. We have had a few experiences where there has been a school play or project and all the students learnt the choreography to a certain song and all started dancing to it. It was such a great sight to see and all the parents were on their phones filming the dance. 

When our Melbourne DJs play at these school discos, we always bring lights so it brings some fun colour onto the dancefloor. Our DJs also have smoke machines so that adds another fun element to the night. There are also snow machine and bubble machines that are an option for hire if you would like to add some extra fun to the dancefloor.
