Covid Safe Party – DJ Hire
Melbourne is in another lockdown and a one-week snap lockdown quickly extended into a two-week lockdown. All the events that were planned were sadly cancelled or postponed and Melbourne DJ Hire’s clients who have events coming up are now contemplating on whether they should postpone their events for a later date. If they should take the risk and wait to hear if restrictions will be lifted before the date of their event or if they should just postpone their event.
We are all unsure about when these restrictions will be lifted and when they are lift there will most likely be a lot of rules and restrictions to have a covid safe party. Most likely, guests will all have to wear masks unless they are eating or drinking, their will have to be limited numbers in place in venues and there will definitely be a limit to how many people are on the dancefloor.
Towards the end of 2020 when Melbourne’s restrictions were lifted after months and months of being in lockdown, the first events and parties that were held were extremely covid safe. A covid safe party that Melbourne Dj Hire worked at, a venue that catered to 120 people had only 50 guests. Tables were spread far apart, there were only 6-7 people seated at a table suitable for 10 people and every guest had to sanitise their hands before entering. There was also a cap on how many people could be on the dancefloor. If the dancefloor exceeded 20 people, then some guests would have to dance in another spot.
A buffet style meal set up was also not allowed. Guests would have their own plate of meals and if it was a cocktail style of event then guests would have to use a toothpick or utensils to pick up their food. The popular grazing table option was also not allowed at a covid safe party.
So if your event is coming up in July or August, there will most likely be a number of covid safe party restrictions. Melbourne DJ Hire are in regular contact with the DHS and we have a lot of covid safe rules in place to keep the party going yet also staying safe so if you have any concerns or questions we are happy to answer any questions.
