Disco Theme – Melbourne Djs

Melbourne Dj hire and Beauty and the Booth worked at a corporate party last weekend which had a fun disco theme for the night. The corporate company held their annual conference at a golf course resort near the airport. The company flew staff in from all their offices around the country.

When our Melbourne djs are booked for work parties it is very rare that everyone who turns up has an elaborate costume on. Especially if they need to take a flight to the party and pack their costume. But at this disco theme function 95% of staff dressed up in an impressive outfit. There was a team that all dressed up as The Village People, there were big afro wigs, sparkles dresses, open shirts with velvet suits, and roller skates.

Our Melbourne Dj also got the honour of getting the light up dance floor started. That’s right, a normal floorboard dance floor was not enough for this epic party, our clients also hired a dance floor that lit up. The dance floor company set up individual coloured squares that clicked in together to make one big impressive dance floor.

Our clients took advantage of their colour popping dance floor and also presented their best dressed awards on the eye popping stage. The organisers put a lot of effort and thought into all the different disco theme award categories. There was ‘best team costume,’ most creative,’ best 5 minute costume,’ ‘is that from your everyday wardrobe’ and so many more funny awards. The MC also had a great time making jokes about the costumes and staff members giving everyone a good laugh.

Melbourne Dj hire had a great night at the costume and definitely enjoyed the fancy dance floor taking everyone back in time. The photobooth also got a great work out that night and were really busy taking photos of staff teams and social groups. The great thing about costume parties is that guests love taking photos to remember their costumes.
