Over the weekend, Melbourne DJ hire sent our Melbourne Dj, photobooth and photographer to a local hall in Heatherton. We work at these small scale halls a lot as a lot of families like to hire the spaces out for an event. This space was big and it had it’s own bar where the host could serve drinks, there was also a large kitchen where there was a buffet of food served and of course there was also space for the Melbourne DJ and photobooth to be set up close to the dancefloor.
Using local halls for your event space is a really good idea. Some families who do not have the space in their homes can hire these spaces for a reasonable price and totally transform the space. Our client really went to a huge effort to decorate the space. It was a pink themed 21st and she had put pink table cloths on all the tables, she placed pink flowers on every table decorated the room with tissue paper flowers and went to a lot of effort to create pink lolly bags and desserts. The dancefloor was also decorated with a large pink balloon garland which was the perfect backdrop for photos. Our Melbourne DJ even had a big light up 21 in front of our set up.
These local halls are usually huge and some even have an outdoor space as well so they perfect for kids parties if parents wish to book a jumping castle, pony rides, petting zoos and some much more. The local hall that we worked at over the weekend even had an outdoor under covered area in case some guests wanted to sit outside. This would have been perfect on a warm night if guests wanted to head out for some fresh air.
So if you are thinking of planning a party and dont want to hold the event at your house, using local halls for your event space is a great idea. They come at a low cost, there is usually plenty of space and you can also have a lot of fun decorating and transforming the space to make it unique to your event.
