DIY Grazing Tables
Melbourne DJ Hire sent our photobooth, Melbourne Dj and our roaming photographer were all booked for a local sports presentation the other night. As per usual, the organisers hired multiple services with us to keep things simpler. All of the organising was done in house and the coaches from the sports club did a great job organising the night. They organised, a balloon garland along with a giant light up numbers to celebrate the club’s 60th anniversary. One thing they also organised was a couple of DIY grazing tables.
The organisers actually set up 2 DIY grazing tables and loaded both tables with different treats. One DIY grazing table was more like a dessert and lolly buffet with candy and cupcakes in their club colours. The other DIY grazing table was a mix of baked desserts like slices, brownies, truffles, macarons, fruit and crackers and dip. Because it was a sports presentation and the venue was at a local bistro they were quite flexible in how they could set up the room.
DIY grazing tables are handy for when guests would like to have a nibble and the canapes haven’t come out yet. The event was also for a sports club where a lot of the members were kids, so the candy, dessert and fruits were really popular with the younger crowd. A DIY grazing table would also be handy for functions that might have a limited budget, having and option to bring your own desserts and snacks would appeal to a lot of functions which may want to save their budget for the bar tab or more food options.
So if you are planning a party and would like to bring in an element to reduce your costs, then a DIY grazing table could be a great option for you. You could bring in your own desserts or sweets so that you don’t need to pay the caterer for a sweet element. You could also set up a little DIY snack grazing table with chips, crackers, savoury snacks or desserts to also have another food element to your party.
