New gathering laws
The Victoria premier has finally given the entertainment industry a bit of hope since the Covid 19 lockdown rules were announced in late March. When the ban of non essential gatherings came to place in late March, every person who worked in the events and entertainment industry lost their jobs. Performers like Melbourne Djs and musicians, photographers, catering staff, party suppliers and so many more contractors were affected. The government have released their action plan in stages and Melbourne now has a rough idea on when cafes and restaurants will be open. The premier also announced that by mid July, 100 people gatherings would be allowed and a 50 person gathering will be allowed from June 22.
Once the new gathering laws were announced, Melbourne Dj Hire and our photobooth company Beauty and the Booth had a big increase of emails. People who had their birthdays in March, April and May are now planning joint parties together to celebrate the lifting of restrictions. Bride and grooms who want to get married in 2020 have also emailed Melbourne DJ Hire to see if they can lock in a Melbourne DJ or photobooth for their event. During this Covid 19 lockdown, quite a number of couples have still gone ahead with their wedding, but have decided to throw the reception or party at the later stage and since this announcement of the new gathering laws were made, people are now confident in booking a date.
So if you are planning on throwing a party in the coming months, or if you had to cancel your event in March, April or May, give Melbourne Dj Hire a call soon so that we can lock in a Melbourne DJ or a photobooth for your event. The past 3 months have been really tough for everyone and hopefully we can all go back to seeing our friends and family soon and are able to celebrate together.
