Party Timeline
Melbourne DJ Hire blogs a lot about our experiences at parties and venues we have worked at. We have even given our followers tips about how to decorate and set up their events and also different ways to keep the party fun and how to entertain your guests. But another important aspect to a party is the actual party timeline.
A party timeline is extremely important if there are a lot of formalities and photos to get through. Imagine throwing a wedding that didn’t have a set timeline? When clients tell us there plans for the party, we usually give them some advice as to when to book the photobooth and the roaming photographer. The Melbourne DJ would usually have to be at the venue for the entire duration of the party, but the photobooth and roaming photographer are usually only at the event for 3-4 hours.
If there are a lot of family members who would like to take photos with the birthday person or couple, then we usually suggest to our clients to get the photos taken at the start of the event before the guest start arriving and before any family members get too intoxicated. Melbourne DJ Hire do not suggest taking family photos towards the end of the night as the photographer would usually have to track down each family member and that is a tough thing to do if they are scattered all over the room.
Speeches should be held a couple of hours after the start of the party, most people would have arrived by then and have had some time to have a few drinks and settle in. It is important to limit the time of the speeches, limit the amount of people doing a speech and limit the amount of time each speech. The after the speeches the cake us usually cut and then the dancing can begin.
